San Francisco

San Francisco is considered one of the greatest cities in the world for many things, including five-star dining, a happening theater scene, and gay and lesbian culture. And, beyond the fifty-square-mile city, in the surrounding Bay Area, there’s so much more to explore, including Silicon Valley’s innovations, Marin’s Headlands, the vineyards of Napa Valley and Sonoma County, and Berkeley’s free spirit.

Part of Golden Gate National Recreation Area, Alcatraz Island  is one of San Francisco’s (and California’s) most famous landmarks. Rich in history, Alcatraz is home to the famous prison that once housed the likes of Al Capone and George "Machine Gun" Kelly.

No visit to San Francisco's Embarcadero waterfront is complete without a stop at Pier 39 , a visitor's treasure trove of souvenirs and mementos. Browse an incredible array of shops and boutiques, get candy and quick snacks, or sit down for a meal with a million-dollar view of San Francisco Bay, Alcatraz, and the Golden Gate Bridge.
